Description
Oakwood Manor is a house dating from the 16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century to the right and 20th century extensions to the left. The building is timber framed, with the lower part infilled with red and brown brick that was once colourwashed. The upper section to the left and the gable to the right are tile hung, while the first floor to the left of the centre is brick infilled. The roof is plain tiled and varies in height.
The house has two storeys and attics in the gable to the right of the centre. There is an offset stack to the right, a tall corbelled multiple stack to the left of the centre, and 19th century stacks at the left end. The plan is L-shaped with a gable end bay to the left.
On the first floor, there is one diamond-pane window, and below it, in a hipped roof projecting extension, is a three-light window. Additional windows are located to the left and on the return wall, with two windows on each floor of the range to the left of centre and one window on each floor of the 17th century gable to the right of centre. There are further windows to the right. A 20th century single-storey range is located at the left end, featuring a door to the left within a gabled open porch.
