Description

The barn at Boswell Farm is a 17th-century structure located parallel to Ruckmans Lane in Ockley. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with weatherboard cladding and a plain tiled roof. The barn consists of three framed bays and has central opposing waggon entrances. Inside, there is a brick partition wall from the 20th century, and the west bay is floored. The roof is a queen-strut clasped purlin design, with some arch bracing on the wall frame. The barn is connected to the old farmhouse through a later pig-sty.
