Description
The Vicarage is a house built around 1674, with a rear extension added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick featuring blue brick headers and has deep moulded eaves beneath a plain tiled roof with end stacks. The building has a T-shaped plan, stands two storeys tall with an attic, and is topped by five hipped roof casement dormers. The façade consists of five bays that are defined by brick piers below and Doric pilasters above, with a brick plat band running between. The first floor has glazing bar sash windows set in flush frames that drop down into the plat band, with the central window on this floor being smaller. A central half-glazed door is located under a transom light, and is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled brick porch that interrupts the plat band above. The rear additions feature extensive tile hanging.
