Description
Slynes Oak is a house built in the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century addition on the right side. It features an ashlar and incised render facing over brick, and has a slate roof with decorative ridge cresting and chimney stacks at both the left and right ends of the building. The house is two storeys tall with an attic, which is served by three flat-roofed dormers on the left side. There is a plat band above the ground floor on the left. The original part of the house has five bays on the left, with glazing bar sash windows across the first floor. A central half-glazed door is set within a flat Doric portico. The two bays on the right are styled similarly. The right-hand return front features bar windows on both floors, and there are wings extending at right angles to the rear.
