Description

These are two cottages, numbered 20 and 22, located on School Hill in Merstham. They likely date from the 17th or early 18th century, and are probably timber-framed in construction. Each cottage is two storeys high and features a single window. They have steeply pitched hipped roofs covered in tiles. The first floors are tile-hung, while the ground floors are brick. The upper windows are horizontally sliding sash windows, and the lower windows are 19th-century, one-bar casements. The cottages have plain plank doors. Numbers 16 to 26 (even) form a group.
