Description

Barn Cottage is an 18th-century building that was originally two houses. It has two storeys and features three windows. The southern half of the cottage is constructed from red brick, while the northern half is made of stone rubble with red brick window dressings, a stringcourse, quoins, and a blocked doorway. The building has a moulded wooden eaves cornice and a tiled roof. The glazing bars are intact on the first floor only. There are small modern square bay windows and one four-light casement window on the ground floor. Barn Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 8 to 12 (even).
