Description
Cherrycob Cottage is an 18th-century farmhouse with early to mid-19th century additions, located on the west side of High Street in Merstham. The building is two storeys high and features three windows, along with a small pentice on the left side and a one-storey and attic extension to the north that includes a dormer. The roofs are tiled, with the main block having a hipped design. The cottage has brick dentil eaves cornices and is constructed of red brick, with the extension displaying a diaper pattern using blue headers. The windows are sash style, some with glazing bars or margin lights, and the ground floor window on the left is set under a gauged brick arch. There are two mid-19th century canted bay windows, one located in the right part of the building. The entrance features a six-panel door beneath a gabled hood. Cherrycob Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 23 to 31 (odd), Red Cottage, and the Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough located to the east of Nos 27 and 29.
