Description
Whistlefield is an 18th-century building, altered in later centuries. It is two storeys and has an attic, originally featuring two windows. The building is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond, accentuated by blue headers. A brick dentil cornice runs along the top, and the roof is tiled with a gambrel shape, incorporating two flat dormers. The original windows have been altered and replaced with modern, wide three- and four-light timber casements. A square bay has been added to the ground floor, and a modern glazed door is present, along with full-width wood cornices. It forms a group with Nos. 23 to 31 (odd), Red Cottage, and the drinking fountain and cattle trough located to the east of Nos. 27 and 29.
