Description

The drinking fountain and cattle trough, located to the east of Nos 27 and 29 on the west side of High Street in Merstham, is made of gray granite and features a gable end with a tap in the gable. It was erected by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association and is dated 1884. The trough is now planted with flowers. This structure, along with Nos 23 to 31 (odd) and Red Cottage, forms a group.
