Description

This drinking fountain and horse trough, located on Windmill Road in the late 19th century, features a rectangular granite horse trough with a chamfered base supported by two granite legs. One end of the trough has an ogee-shaped granite gable with a semi-circular bowl attached. Beneath the main trough, there is a rectangular dog trough set between granite kerbs at ground level. An inscription on the structure reads, "Metropolitan Drinking Fountain & Cattle Trough Association."
