Description

These are cottages incorporating a village store, dating back to the 17th century, with extensions added in the late 19th century to the left and in the 20th century to the right. The construction is timber-framed, with the frame exposed on the right side and brick infill in the centre using larger bricks. The roof is tiled, and a portion is tile hung, including fishscale pattern tiles. The left side has a rendered shop front above which is tile hanging.

The building is two stories high. A central chimney stack rises through the cottage to the right, with a further stack at the right end, offset. There is a gabled through-eaves dormer on the left side, and a single first-floor window on the right side. The centre has one four-light ground floor window to the left, and a two-light window to the right. A door is located to the right of the centre, sheltered by a pentice supported on pillars, extending across the ground floor to the right. A single window range is set back at the right end.

The shop front on the left has double gables, each with a casement window on the first floor. Below, there are two large eight-pane shop windows across the ground floor, with a central pair of 3/4 glazed double doors. Inside, some chamfered ceiling joists remain.
