Description

This is a 17th-century barn located to the south of the Six Bells Public House in Newdigate. The barn is timber framed, standing on a part brick plinth, and features weatherboard cladding with a corrugated-iron roof. It consists of three framed bays, with central opposing waggon entrances. Inside, the north bay has a Queen-strut truss, the center bay includes windbracing, and the south bay is floored. There is also tension bracing at the angles of the frame.
