Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage with 20th century extensions to the left. It is timber-framed with a whitewashed brick underbuild and infill above, and a whitewashed brick extension to the left, all set beneath plain tiled roofs. Originally a three-bay, end-chimney plan cottage, it is now T-shaped with a 20th-century wing added to the left. The cottage has two first-floor and two ground-floor casement windows, plus one window on each floor of the gable wing. A door is centrally positioned in the original range, sheltered by an open gabled trellis porch. There are 20th-century stacks at the left end, a 19th-century stack where the wing meets the original cottage, and an offset stack to the right end.
