Description

This is an early 19th-century house with a shop on the ground floor, located on the north side of North Street in Guildford. The exterior is grey stock brick, with red brick used for the return and rear walls. The roof is slated and hidden behind a parapet. The building is three storeys high, and features large brick-dentilled stacks to the left. A brick dentilled plat band runs along the top of the parapet. The second floor has three 9-pane sash windows, each with a gauged-brick head. The first floor has three larger plate glass sashes. A plate glass shop front occupies the ground floor, incorporating four attached, fluted Doric columns. A six-panel door is located to the right of the shop front. At the rear are two wings set at right angles, with some areas of club-patterned tile hanging.
