Description

No. 83 High Street is a house with a shop below, dating from the 17th century at the rear and featuring an early 19th-century range at the front. The building has a 20th-century shop front on the ground floor. The rear is timber framed, while the front is constructed of brown brick with a plain tiled roof that is obscured by a stone-coped parapet. The structure stands three storeys high and has a large multiple stack on the left side. Each floor of the front range has one 16-pane glazing-bar sash window set under a gauged-brick head. The ground floor features a plate glass shop front with a deep central recess.
