Description
Underwoods is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the mid-18th century with 19th-century alterations and a 20th-century ground floor. The building features whitewashed stucco and a tiled roof that is obscured by a panelled, stone-coped parapet. It stands three storeys tall and has a projecting eaves cornice with stacks located at the rear. The front facade is regular with three bays, showcasing three sunk panels in the parapet. On the second floor, there are three nine-pane glazing-bar sash windows, each with flanking shutters, and on the first floor, there are three twelve-pane glazing-bar sash windows. The ground floor shop front was under construction at the time of the re-survey. The building is included for its group value.
