Description

SU 9949SE GUILDFORD HIGH STREET (South Side) 8/94 Nos 80 and 82 GV II

House, now shops. Early C18 core, re-fronted in later C18/C19, altered in C20. Red brick to left, whitewashed render to right with brick and glass shop front across the ground floor. Plain tiled roof partly obscured by stone-coped parapets, hipped and end on to left. Three storeys with bracketed eaves cornice over canted bay on left half. Stacks to rear and right. Two bays. 12-pane glazing-bar sash fenestration to left with one window in each face of canted two-storey bay on both floors; one plate glass sash window on each floor to right. C20 shop fronts on the ground floor. Included for group value.
