Description
Nos 80 and 82 High Street is a house that has been converted into shops. It has an early 18th-century core but was re-fronted in the later 18th or 19th century and altered in the 20th century. The left side is built of red brick, while the right side features whitewashed render with a brick and glass shop front at the ground level. The roof is plain tiled and partly hidden by stone-coped parapets, with a hipped end on the left. The building stands three storeys high and has a bracketed eaves cornice above a canted bay on the left half. There are stacks located at the rear and right. The structure has two bays, with 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows on the left, including one window on each face of the canted two-storey bay on both floors. On the right, there is one plate glass sash window on each floor. The ground floor features 20th-century shop fronts. This building is included for its group value.
