Description
Nos 62 and 64 Meadrow is a house that now includes commercial premises, built in the early 19th century with later 19th and 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of red brick, featuring some grey-glazed headers in a Flemish bond pattern, and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys high with two bays, plus a single-storey bay to the left.
The right side has a 20th-century shop front that includes steps leading up to a glazed door, with a shop window to its left, a fascia board, and a cornice. On the left, there is a canted bay window with sash windows that have glazing bars, along with a frieze and cornice. Other windows are also sashes with glazing bars, set under gauged flat brick arches and with stone cills. The roof is hipped, featuring a central stack and another stack on the left side at the rear.
The single-storey bay on the left has a six-panel door, with the top four panels now glazed, and a parapet that partially conceals the roof, which is half-hipped at the left end. The returns of the main range have sash windows with glazing bars under segmental brick arches. There is a workshop attached to the right, set back, but it is not of special interest.
