Description
Foxton House is a house that has been converted into a shop and dwelling, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a parapet at the roof and a brick stack at one end. The building stands three storeys high and has a three-window range, with 6/6 sash windows set in broad moulded cases beneath pads and 20th-century restored flat hoods. There is a moulded sill band and additional 6/6 sashes in broad moulded cases, topped by a coped parapet.
The entrance is located to the left and features a 19th-century door with six moulded panels and an overlight with leaded lights, labeled "Foxton House," all within a plain doorcase that has a flat hood. The shop front, which is from the early 20th century, includes a central half-glazed panelled door and an overlight with a glazing bar situated between canted windows, all beneath a fascia board and hood supported by pilasters. At the rear, there is a gable wing and a cellar entrance. The interior has not been inspected.
