Description
No. 13 Broad Street is a house that has been converted into a bank and offices, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a parapet at the roof with a brick end stack. It stands three storeys high and has a three-window range, with 6/6 sash windows under gauged brick flat arches, and late 19th-century 3/3 sashes above. The 20th-century restored parapet includes a moulded and modillioned cornice.
The entrance is located to the right and consists of a six-fielded-panel door with a blocked overlight, set within a round-headed stucco case that is topped by a modillioned entablature supported by attached columns. To the left of the entrance, there are two 20th-century 6/6 sashes under gauged brick flat arches, and a storey band runs across the building. At the rear, the house has a hipped Welsh slate roof with an 8/8 sash and a 4/4 sash, both under gauged brick flat arches, and brick modillion eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
