Description
No. 17 Broad Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and offices, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stucco and features a parapet at the roof. It stands three storeys high and has a four-window range. The windows include 6/6 sashes and, on the right, an 8/8 sash, all set within moulded architraves under pads and flat hoods. Above these, there are 3/6 and 4/8 sashes with moulded architraves and a sill band. The stone-coped parapet adds to the building's character. The shop front was altered in the 19th century, and to the right, there is an entrance with a 20th-century half-glazed door. The fascia board features stop-consoles and a moulded sill band. The rear of the building has a "turnerized" slate roof. The interior has not been inspected.
