Description

Not the Old Pharmacy, Farrier's Cottage and The Old Post Office is a former shop row with accommodation above, now converted into houses. It dates from the mid-19th century. The building features a rubblestone plinth and sandstone rubble above, with some flint and brick dressings. The first floor is half-timbered and tile-hung, with some sections arranged in fishscale bands. The roof is plain tiled and the building has two storeys, with the first floor slightly projecting over a coved section and attics above, which are topped with three gabled and bargeboarded tile-hung dormers that have quatrefoil decoration.

Tall brick chimneys are present, including a pair of diagonal stacks on plinths at the front and rear pitches of the roof to the left of centre, which have corbelled tops. There are also two groups of four stacks on square diagonally placed plinths to the right of centre, featuring circular shafts with corbelled tops and decorative raised brick patterns of crosses and curved lines.

The first floor has six casement windows, while the ground floor includes three shop windows: one three-light glazing bar casement window to the left, one three-light casement with a central sash in the middle, and one six-light leaded window to the right. The doors include "Tudor" style arched doors to the left, a part-glazed door to the left of centre, and a panelled and studded door to the right.
