Description
Clive Lodge is a house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It is built with incised colourwashed stucco and has hipped Welsh slate roofs. The house is two storeys high and features a plat band above the ground floor, with rusticated angles and deep wooden bracket eaves. Rendered ridge stacks are located to the right of the centre, and two end stacks are to the right. The front elevation has five 16-pane glazing bar sash windows on the first floor, with two windows in bowed bays flanking a single 12-pane window. End windows to the left are set back. A similar arrangement of windows is visible on the ground floor. A panelled door is located to the right, between the bowed bays, set within an arched, fluted surround topped by a "Gothick" tracery fanlight. The door has three panels, rectangular at the top and bottom, with a circular panel in the centre. It is approached by a flight of five steps with an iron handrail. A parallel range extends to the rear left, and a taller parallel range extends to the rear right.
