Description
The lodge to Clive Lodge, dating from the early 19th century, is constructed of colourwashed stucco with stone dressings and features low-pitched Welsh slate roofs. It is a single-storey building with a hip end facing the street and deep eaves. The central angle bay contains one sash window positioned beneath the deep eaves of the main roof. The impost block displays vermiculation. To the right, there are rendered screen walls and square gate piers. The central double-boarded gates are situated between the piers, which are approximately 6 feet high and rest on moulded plinths with banded block vermiculation. Above these, there are plain moulded capitals, and the inner piers feature a Greek key pattern band. A door to the lodge is located in the right-hand return front behind the wall. This structure is included for its group value only.
