Description
Roecliffe Manor Lodge is a lodge built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from granite and slate rubble stone, topped with a Swithland slate roof and featuring a stone central ridge stack. The building has bargeboarded gables with finials and consists of one storey and an attic.
At the entrance drive, there is a gabled porch with three open arches on the left side. Above the porch, there is a stone tablet with a crest. To the right of the porch, there is a six-panelled door and two 2-light casement windows with stone sills.
The left side of the lodge, which faces the crossroads, has a gable on the right with a three-sided lattice casement bay and a stone tablet with a coat of arms above it. To the left, there is a three-light casement window and a 2-light casement window in the attic at the end. Further left, there is a lower extension that includes a 2-light casement window and a small three-sided bay at the left end. Additionally, there is a 20th-century one-storey extension at the rear. The lodge has group value with the adjoining gates.
