Description

The summerhouse at The Brand is a small structure built around 1875, likely designed by Alfred Waterhouse for Arthur Ellis. It is constructed from granite and slate rubble stone and features a conical roof made of Swithland slate. The building has a miniature round tower positioned on a slope. It includes two doors, one of which is blocked and may have been intended for dogs, and an upper door that is accompanied by three windows, some of which have stained glass. There is a small loft with slits, likely for birds. The door and windows are adorned with blue brick pointed arch lintels. This summerhouse is located to the right of the entrance front of the main house.
