Description

This property comprises two dwellings, incorporating a former Methodist chapel dating from 1856. The building is located on the south side of Main Street in Swithland. It is a long range of gabled buildings with a rear wing. The construction is primarily granite and slate rubble stone, partially rendered, with slate roofs on the chapel, the rear wing, and outshuts on the right side, while the remaining roof is thatched. Brick ridge and end stacks are present.

The chapel section has a central door with an overlight and mullion and transom windows on either side. Buff brick dressings feature, along with cambered lintels. A stone dated 1856 is positioned above the door. The rear range, which is 1½ storeys high, has three two-light casement windows on its left side, three doors, and two three-light casements below. A small, 20th-century stair turret projects forward from the left wing. To the right side of the chapel there are three renewed eyebrow dormers, two outshuts, a door, and a two-light window on the ground floor. A two-light window is present on both floors on the right side of the chapel.

Inside, there are chamfered beams and an inglenook fireplace with a hood.
