Description
Weston Dene is a house built around 1860 in the Gothic style. It features red and brown brick at the bottom and timber framing above, with brick infilling arranged in herringbone and zigzag patterns. The roof is tiled and includes bands of fishscale tiling. The building has two storeys, with the first floor jettied on brackets and a projecting wing to the right. There is a central gabled bay to the left, a ridge stack at the left end, and rendered stacks at the front, left, and right.
The first floor has two-light casement windows, with six windows that include hexagonal glazing bars. The central two-light window on the first floor is raised and has trefoil heads on the main lights, along with two triangular lights featuring trefoil roundels at the apex, all under a brick hood moulding. The ground floor has four two-light windows with glazing bar sashes, all with arched heads and a brick mullion. There is an additional window in a single-storey extension on the left side.
A 20th-century pentice roof extension is located at the front right and includes casement windows. To the left of the center, there is a part-glazed door under a cambered head, accompanied by a porch with a pentice roof supported on braces. This building is included for its group value only.
