Description

Ripley Court Cottage is an early 17th-century cottage with later alterations, primarily in the 18th and 19th centuries, and a 20th-century extension to the rear. The original timber frame is now largely clad in brick. The roof is covered in plain tiles and is half-hipped. The building has two storeys and features a front end stack to the left, a ridge stack to the right, and an offset end stack to the right. A plat band runs above the ground floor. The windows are wood-framed casements with diamond-pane leaded glass; the left side retains original brick eaves. There are five windows to the first floor and four to the ground floor, all with cambered heads. A door is centrally positioned under a flat hood on braces, with a further door to the right. Timber framing is visible to the rear and inside the building.
