Description

Rio House and Rio Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of colourwashed roughcast, with plain tiled roofs, the left-hand side being hipped. There is a ridge stack at the right end. The first floor has three 19th-century sash windows on the right, and one 19th-century casement window with a cambered head on the left. The ground floor features a 19th-century shop front on the left, with thin iron angle pillars. A glazed door adjoins a bowed, multi-paned window on the ground floor left. A square bay window is present on the ground floor right, alongside a half-glazed door located to the right of center.
