Description
Kennel Farm is a 17th-century house that has been converted into cottages and part store. The building features timber framing in parts, with the ground floor made of iron and sandstone rubble, which includes galleting and brick dressings. Above, there is a diamond pattern and scalloped tile hanging under a plain tiled, half-hipped roof. The left end of the building is rendered, while the frame is exposed on the right. The entrance is located at the rear, and the building stands two storeys high with an end stack on the right side. The first floor has three, 3-light leaded casement windows, and the ground floor has three casements, all positioned to the right of centre, along with blocked windows on the left. There is a planked door to the left of centre and a cottage door to the right. A 20th-century brick extension is attached to the right side. The street front features a massive 17th-century stack, offset, with a pentice ground floor extension to the right. The left side has metal framed casement windows, with two windows on each floor. A door is located to the right of centre within a trellis porch under a pentice roof. Inside, the framed partition walls are visible.
