Description
Pinnock's Cafe and Amberley Cottage is a possible small hall house that has been divided into part shops. It dates from the mid-16th century, with a cross wing added in the mid-17th century to the left. The building is timber-framed with exposed red brick infill, and the cross wing features colourwashed incised render. The gable has colourwashed brick infill, and the roof is a plain tiled hipped design with a gablet to the right.
The structure has two storeys and an attic in the gable, with a front ridge stack located to the left of the center and an end stack to the right. The building features three framed bays in the center and right, with a gabled bay from the cross wing to the left. The windows are irregularly mixed casement styles, with three windows on the first floor to the right (one of which is leaded) and two windows in the gable. On the ground floor, there are four windows, including an angled bay shop window to the right, with the windows of the cross wing located beneath a thick plat band. There is a half-glazed door to the right and another door to the left of center.
The right-hand return front displays jowled corner posts and arched bracing.
