Description

This is a hall house, dating from the 15th century on the left side, with a mid-16th century extension to the rear right. In the late 19th century, a shop front was added to the right. The left side is timber-framed and has whitewashed rendered cladding, with exposed framing. The render on the left return front is infill. The front has plain tiled roofing, with machine tiles over the shop. The roof is hipped to the left and right, and has a low-pitched slate roof over the shop extension. The house is two storeys high, with a single-storey shop projecting to the front right. There are chimney stacks at the left end, and a larger rendered stack to the left of the centre. The left side has a two-bay hall range with a 20th-century casement window on each floor facing the front, and a further window on the left return front. A three-bay extension to the rear right is obscured by the shop front. A half-glazed door is located on the left return front and a shop door is on the right front. Inside, the hall has a crown post roof. There is a through pentice extension.
