GUILDFORD QUARRY STREET SU 99 49SE (West Side) No. 6 8/213 1/5/53 GV II*
House, now office. Late C17/early C18 front on C16 house to rear. Timber framed clad in colourwashed render with pargetted panels on the first floor. Tile hanging on left hand return front and across first floor of rear wing, cement render below. Plain tiled roof hipped over rear and half-hipped to right end on front. Two storeys and attics with end stack to right and taller multiple stack to rear right. Two hipped-roof casement dormers to front, over bold modillion eaves cornice. First floor jettied on moulded bressumer with two cross casement windows and one narrower window to right. Two large C19 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows with thin glazing bars to ground floor right. Half-glazed door to left. Left hand return front:- Irregular arrangement of casement fenestration. Old muntin-panelled door to centre of ground floor. Rear - jettied first floor with modillion eaves. Two cross windows on the first floor and one window to left. Single-storey extension projects on ground floor over basement storey where ground drops away. Substantial frame exposed inside.
