Description

This is an 18th-century house, later used as an office, with alterations made in the 19th century to harmonize with a neighboring property. It is constructed of mottled stock brick with red brick dressings and gauged brick arches, with a stuccoed ground floor and a slate roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a stack on the right side. A rendered plat band runs over the ground floor. There are two six-pane sash windows in the attic, set within gauged-brick arches. The first floor features two mullioned casement windows with a balcony supported by iron scrolls in front of it. The balcony railings are of a lattice pattern with fluted baluster standards between panels. The ground floor is rusticated, with a Venetian sash window with glazing bars on the right side. A six-panel door is located on the left side, above a traceried fanlight and reeded lintel. Photographs of the property are held within the National Monuments Record.
