Description
Moulder's Cottage and No. 50 are two houses, which may have originally been one, dating from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and ashlar quoins, topped with Welsh-slate and Stonesfield-slate roofs that feature both ashlar and brick stacks. The buildings have a two-unit and a single-unit plan in a single range, standing two storeys high with an attic.
The front of Moulder's Cottage, located on the left, has three windows that include casements with three, two, and three lights on the first floor. Below, there are canted five-light bay windows flanking a four-panel door. The steep-pitched roof has flanking ashlar stacks with plinths and extends over No. 50 on the right, which has a stone-slate roof and windows positioned at a much higher level, along with a brick gable stack. To the right, there is a later two-storey section that contains the entrance. The interiors have not been inspected.
