Description
Nos 5 and 7 North End are two houses dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations and an addition. They are constructed of rubblestone ashlar and have a pantile roof, standing two storeys tall. No 7, which is the left-hand bay, is taller and consists of a single bay, while No 5 has two bays. The entrance to No 5 features a board door located to the left of centre beneath a plain lintel, and there is a similar door on the right side of No 7.
The windows of No 7 are 4-pane sashes with stone sills and plain lintels, while No 5 has sash windows where the top sash of each window includes a glazing bar. On the ground floor of No 5, there is a small 4-pane window on the far right, with all windows having stone sills and plain lintels. The right side of the building features a shaped kneeler, stone coping, and chimney stacks at both ends and one along the ridge. The gabled right return of No 5 displays stone tumbling and a board door set in a raised 18th-century surround at the ground floor.
