Description
17 North End is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of North End in Osmotherley. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features a pantile roof. It has two storeys and two bays. The central entrance consists of a double leaf six-panel door with an overlight, which is sheltered by a bracketed stone hood. Flanking the door are original 20-pane segmental bow windows set on stone plinths, complete with sills, friezes, and hoods. To the right of the entrance is a 12-pane side-sliding sash window with a stone sill and a plain lintel. On the first floor, there are 20th-century casement windows in the original openings, also with stone sills and lintels. The house features an eaves band, shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks.
