Description
The Post Office is a house that has been converted into a post office. It dates from the 18th century but has origins from the 17th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is stone rendered with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays, with a deep plinth and chamfered quoins.
The central shop front includes a half-glazed door with an overlight, flanked by a 20th-century window on the left and a four-pane sash window on the right, all situated beneath a frieze supported by four consoles and topped with a cornice. To the left, there is a six-pane window with a stone sill. On the first floor, there are two four-pane sash windows with stone sills beneath plain lintels. The building also has an eaves band, shaped kneelers, stone coping, and brick stacks at the ends.
