Description

No 1 North End is a house and cafe dating from the early 19th century, with later alterations. The building is stone rendered and features a Welsh slate roof. It has three storeys and one bay. The structure includes a plinth and a central half-glazed door with an overlight, which is flanked by plate-glass windows. These elements are set within an early 19th-century stone shop front that has Doric pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. On the first floor, there is a bay window with a four-pane sash, along with a plinth, pilasters, frieze, and cornice. The second floor features a four-pane sash window with a stone sill and a flat stucco arch. The roof is hipped, and there is a side wall stack at eaves level on the left. The building is included for its group value.
