Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a concrete plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building is designed in an L shape and has two storeys plus an attic. The front facade has two windows; on the first floor, there are two-light stone-mullioned windows, while the ground floor features a three-light mullioned window with a label in the left bay and a three-light casement in the right bay, which has likely been converted from a four-light mullioned window but retains the label. There is also an inserted doorway immediately to the left of the right bay window. All windows are fitted with leaded glazing. The steep-pitched roof includes a gabled roof dormer, and there is a lower rear wing that extends from the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
