Description

The Wicket Gate, Getset, and attached stables are a combination of stables, a house, and a coach house, now functioning as a shop and a house. The building features a datestone marked J.P. 1833 at the rear. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and has a gabled Welsh slate roof. The structure is two stories high and has a four-window range at the front. To the left, there is a 20th-century door and shop window, while the coach house entry has timber lintels over plank double doors. On the right, there is an early 19th-century eight-pane sash window with a keyed cambered arch and ashlar jambs. The first floor features keyed flat stone arches over 20th-century two-light casements, as well as a late 19th-century two-light casement with glazing bars to the right. There is a central loft door with a 20th-century window. The rear left wing is made of similar materials and includes a two-story range with segmental brick arches over a blocked door, plank double doors, and over blocked and 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
