Description
This is a coach house and stable block built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble with stone slate roofs and consists of two storeys in the central coach house and one storey in the flanking stables. The coach house has a central two-bay, two-storey section that projects slightly and features quoined segmental-arched openings made of dressed stone, with leaved board doors and a single window above. It has a coped gable and an apex chimney. The stable ranges on either side have quoins at their outer ends, with a central board door set in a chamfered quoined surround, flanked by slatted windows that have thin lintels and projecting sills. Inside the stables, there are three round-arched mangers in the rear wall and queen-strut roof trusses. The building is included for its group value.
