Description

The Hermitage is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with an end stack made of stone finished in brick. The building has a central-staircase plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a symmetrical three-window facade. The windows have timber lintels and include a late 19th-century half-glazed door and late 19th-century sash windows. There is a moulded wood cornice and two dormers that feature late 19th-century casements. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is likely to be of interest.
