Description
No. 8 High Street is a house dating from the 17th century, which was heightened and remodeled in the early 19th century. It features uncoursed limestone rubble and coursed squared stone on the first floor, with ashlar quoins. The roof is gabled and covered with stone slates, and there is a brick stack at one end. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. There are timber lintels above 20th-century plank doors located at the centre and left. The ground floor has late 19th-century two- and three-light casement windows, while the first floor features early 19th-century three-light casements with iron opening lights. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
