Description
1 and 1A Mill Street, originally stables and an outbuilding to No. 3, now serves as a shop. This building dates from the 18th century and is constructed from colourwashed limestone that is squared and coursed, topped with a gabled stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features a three-window range. The ground floor has a 20th-century door flanked by a 20th-century shop window on the left and a 20th-century three-light casement. Above, there is a horizontal sliding sash, a 19th-century casement, and a plank loft door. To the right, a timber lintel supports a three-light wood-mullioned and shuttered window. The rear wall has blocked loft and stable doors along with a horizontal sliding sash. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with nearby structures.
