Description
The coach-house and stables, built in the early 19th century, are constructed from magnesian limestone ashlar and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a U-shaped layout, featuring a central section that is two storeys high and consists of two bays, flanked by single-storey, single-bay ranges. There are also two single-storey, two-bay wings that extend at right angles. A roofed 'portico' with two square piers is situated between the wings. The central area includes two carriage arches with double wooden doors. The left range has 20th-century infill, while the right range has a single stable entrance. Each wing contains one blocked opening and one sash window with glazing bars, all set under flat stone arches and with stone cills at the ends, each under separate hipped roofs. Inside, the right-hand range features 19th-century stalls. The building is included for its group value.
