Description
Hanborough Lodge and Hanborough Lodge Cottage are two houses dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature a gabled stone slate roof, with concrete tiles on the rear. The buildings are arranged in an L-plan with a rear left wing and stand two storeys tall, presenting a three-window range. The windows are C19 and C20 casements with timber lintels. The rear wing includes a C20 door and windows, along with an end stack made of stone finished in brick. Notably, the rear gable features a late 18th-century Gothick window with three lights and intersecting tracery. Inside, Hanborough Lodge has 17th-century stop-chamfered beams and joists, as well as an 18th-century plank door set within a 17th-century stop-chamfered doorframe. The first floor and Hanborough Lodge Cottage at the front have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
