Description

This is a barn located adjacent to the west of Park Farmhouse, dated 1779 as indicated by a plaque. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with dressed quoins and features a stone slate roof with coped gables. The barn consists of five bays with a central threshing floor. On the north side, there are central cart doors with a wooden lintel and the date plaque above, along with two rows of vent slits above a row of square vent holes. The south side has cart doors in a central gabled projection, with one vent slit on either side and additional square vent holes. Similar vents are found in the gables. There is a lower 19th-century block of two bays attached to the west end, which includes doors and vent slits facing the yard. The barn has a double purlin roof supported by queen strut trusses with collars.
