Description
Stonycroft is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with a stone slate roof and rubble stone chimneys, the left chimney having rebuilt shafts and a moulded stone string. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with two bays. It features hollow-chamfered stone mullion windows with Tudor hoodmolds; the ground floor windows are three-light, while the first-floor windows are two-light. Two 20th-century single-light windows have been inserted into the centre of the ground floor. There are two 20th-century gabled roof dormers. The windows have plate glazing. A single-storey lobby extension, with a 20th-century door and single light, has been added to the left gable. The rear of the property has had its roof pitch and openings altered in the 20th century.
